The Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (also referred to as the NLPNP) was created to help the province select and recruit those foreign nationals who can contribute the province’s labour market needs and local economy. The NLPNP allows the province to nominate applicants to become Canadian permanent residents. In order to be nominated, applicants must meet certain criteria set by the province. Like other PNPs, the individual may apply for their Canadian permanent residency status once they are nominated and have received their certificate of nomination.

One of the advantages of the NLPNP is that the certification of nomination allows for a faster Canadian immigration process for you and your family than those programs offered at the federal level. Below you will find the different provincial categories available for Newfoundland immigration purposes.
