For those planning to immigrate to Canada, and more specifically the province of New Brunswick, the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program might be the best Canadian immigration option. The New Brunswick PNP is an economic-based program that nominates foreign nationals as either qualified business people, or skilled workers as defined by Canadian immigration law. An experienced Canada immigration lawyer from our firm can provide comprehensive information about your options.

New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program Categories

There are three available categories under the New Brunswick PNP:

1)    NBPNP – Skilled Worker Applicants with Family Support

This New Brunswick PNP category recognizes the importance of family values and assists foreign nationals in immigrating to a community in New Brunswick where they will have family support. Both the applicant and the family member supporting their immigration application must meet a number of requirements to be eligible for the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program.

2)    NBPNP – Skilled Worker Applicants with Employer Support

This New Brunswick PNP category is meant for foreign nationals who have a genuine full-time job offer from a New Brunswick employer. This category recognizes the shortages of Canadian skilled workers who have the skills and education required to perform particular occupations in the province. This NBPNP category therefore assists New Brunswick employers to hire those immigrants who have the required skills and experience.

3)    NBPNP – Business Applicants

This New Brunswick PNP Business Applicant category is meant for those individuals who want to live and operate a business in New Brunswick. Applicants must assume a day-to-day management role and not simply an investor. Among other requirements, business applicants must submit a business plan to be approved by the Government of Canada and have a personal net worth of $300,000 CAD.

Additional Information:

Candidates will have their applications reviewed by Canadian immigration officers, who will make a decision regarding their eligibility based on a number of requirements and factors.  It is especially important these applications are done properly because individuals applying under the New Brunswick PNP (NBPNP) are restricted to one application every two years. Decisions are final and there is no appeal process for refusal. Those individuals who do not qualify for the New Brunswick Provincial Nomination Program may still have options under federal Canadian immigration programs.

Those individuals nominated under the New Brunswick PNP, including their family and dependents, will only receive their Canadian permanent resident status upon approval of the Canadian Federal Government. It is important that you do not make travel arrangements to Canada until you have been granted your Canadian permanent residency by the federal government. New Brunswick immigration has never been easier. Please contact us for more information.
