Chris Alexander: Canada’s new Citizenship and Immigration Minister
Former Canadian ambassador to Afghanistan, Chris Alexander, was recently appointed Canada’s new Minister of Citizenship and Immigration as part of Prime Minister Harper’s cabinet shuffle. The former diplomat was first elected as a Member of Parliament 2 years ago, and has over 18 years of service as a Canadian diplomat. Parent and Grandparent Super Visas
Canada’s Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney recently announced Canadian immigration has issued over 20,000 Parent and Grandparent Super Visas, since the program started in December of 2011. Applicants for the Super Visa must be the parents or grandparents of a Canadian citizen or a Canadian permanent resident. Dependents of parents or grandparents are not eligible for this visa. Minister Kenney offered the Super Visa
